From Nancy Rumsey:

Hello TAC members. . . .
At the beginning of this New Year, did you decide not to set personal goals because you knew those goals would be forgotten?
Let me offer a goal you can easily and quickly achieve! It's one that will please you! It's one that will greatly impact a graduating senior’s life!
What is it? It's your contribution to the TPAA-TAC 2019 Scholarship Fund. What New Year’s responsibility is more important than asserting your energy toward supporting such a worthy cause?
Our goal this year is the same as the past few years, $20,000 for twenty scholarships of $1000. YOU can make that happen!
What better return can one get on his investment than a contribution toward a student’s education!
Nancy L. Huchel Rumsey, TAC Researcher (2012-)
Founding TPAA Director (2014-18)

Our Nancy Rumsey
I am so pleased that Nancy Rumsey has written the scholarship note to you written above. She's very special to all of us TAC and TPAA volunteers as well as the many TAC members who gotten to know her over the past seven years. I call her the "Jewel of TAC"!

ERHS Class of 1966
She's been a key contributer to various steps in the development of the two charities. Click on her senior picture or here to read about her volunteer service on TAC's leadership page. Let me focus on just one here. That's her building TAC into something of a genealogy center.
Our Genealogy Center
Nancy is a "one-person" research team, having posting over 4,453 obituaries as of March, 2019. In the process, she has developed The Tiger Alumni Center into something of a key resource, genealogy center for TAC members and others, gathering relevant family history information.
She uses various research sources including "Ancestry. Com", "Find A Grave", newspaper archives as well as current news publications helping her in her search for information about our deceased alumni. Thanks Nancy!
Happy Days!
Thanks for supporting our goal of funding scholarships for our youth.

We TAC volunteers enjoy getting your notes, sent using TAC's "Contact Us" email system. When you do, all of us TAC volunteers get a copy -- and, as needed, the one who can help responds. You will find the link for the "Contact Us" at the top, left of every TAC page (under our tiger symbol created by Mary (Hart) Resor, Class of 1960).
If you have not visited TAC recently, you will find some of the links in the navigation system re-arranged alphabetically - for better order.
Richard
