2018 Senior Awards Night

2018 Recipients

The 2018 Senior Awards Program

On Tuesday May 1th, the Class of 2018 Senior Awards Program was conducted in Sliva Auditorium at Richland County High School. Like last two years, the Tiger Action Center (TAC) and Tiger Pride Alumni Association (TPAA) are very pleased with the support of alumni members, businesses, organizations, and others in the community.

For the third year in a row, $20,000 was raised during the 2017-2018 fund drive allowing the association to again award 20 scholarships of $1,000 each.  In the four years of TPAA's existence, the association has awarded $70,000 in scholarship awards.

For the first three years of the scholarship drives, beginning in 2012, the Tiger Alumni Center conduced the drive without the wonderful partnership of TPAA.  In total, the drives raised $90,000 funding 90 scholarships of one thousand dollars each.

Tiger Pride Alumni members, Clarence Smith, Janet Everett, and Brenda Stallard presented the scholarships to the recipients.

During the awards ceremony, the certificate handed each recipient was a special one designed specifically for the 2018 graduating class and for the individual.  Founder Richard Williams designed the certificate, assisted with advice from Director Smith and with technical assistance with past TAC photography director, Stan Gill.  As in the past years, Smitty, an artist with calligraphy skills, beautifully inscribed the names of the recipients on the certificate, making each one a souvenir of the night and an art object suitable for framing.

The names of the individual recipients are presented below.
