Your 2025 Recipients

Tiger Pride Alumni Association Scholarship

The recipients of the Tiger Pride Alumni Association Scholarship are selected by the Richland County High School Senior Awards Committee and are awarded to deserving graduating seniors at Richland County High School based on the following criteria:

  • Students in good academic standing and at least a B average.
  • Students who have demonstrated the RCHS Core Expectations of Respect, Responsiblity, and Work Ethic.
  • The financial need of the student is considered in the selection, but it not the sole criterion.

Dacota Anderson-Krome

Parent(s):  Chris Anderson-Krome & Jennie Hargrave
Plans after high school:  I plan to attend Eastern Illinois University to obtain my Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science: Pre-Athletic Training and a minor in nutrition. I then plan to get my Master's degree in Athletic Training.
Long-term career goals:  I plan to come back to Olney and apply my degree at the high school or collegiate level. I plan to work for Wabash Valley Hospital starting in the Fall and after I become certified.
Expression of thanks:  I greatly appreciate you for choosing me as a recipient for your scholarship. Without your help, I would not be able to reach my goals as easily.

 


Elizabeth Bahl

Parent(s):  Jeremiah & Jessica Bahl
Plans after high school:  I plan to go to OCC to play basketball and go into the Radiology program.
Long-term career goals:  I plan to work at a hospital and be a Radiology tech.
Expression of thanks:  Thank you for choosing me for the Tiger Pride Alumni Scholarship. I am very grateful and plan to use it wisely towards my schooling. This scholarship means a lot to me and my family going forward into my education. Thank you!

 


Carson Bissey

Plans after high school:  Major in Mechinical Engineering at SIU.
Long-term career goals:  Design useful products that can help improve lives and onw my own business one day.

Karlee Bissey

Plans after high school:  Major in Physiology through the Pre-Physician Assistant Program at SIU and to be admitted to their PA school.
Long-term career goals:  I see myself working in a family medicine practice where I can provide compassionate care and positively impact the lives of all ages.

Braelynn Brown

Parent(s):  Angel & Robert Brown
Plans after high school:  Attend EIU and get my Bachelor's degree in Nursing. After getting required hours, I want to go back to school to get my CRNA license.
Long-term career goals:  Be the best and most hard working CRNA I can be.
Expression of thanks:  I thank you so much for providing this scholarship to me. I promise to be the best version of myself post receiving this award. I will not diappoint you! Thank you!

 


Kenzie Fryman

Parent(s):  Matt Allen, Amy Allen, & Frank Fryman
Plans after high school:  After high school, I plan to attend Olney Central College for an Associates degree in the Radiology program. From this point, I will pursue my career as a Radiology Technician while furthering my education and university.
Long-term career goals:  My long-term career goald are to continue at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale to obtain my Bachelor's degree and continue my education in multiple Radiology modules, including MRI, CT, Sonogram, Nuclear Medicine, and Mammography.
Expression of thanks:  Thank you for selecting me for the Tiger Pride Alumni Association Scholarship. With this scholarship, I can put aside the worry of financial support and focus on my education. This will help me to achieve my goal of becoming a Radiology Technician. Being able to represent this scholarship is an honor, and I am proud to do so. Thank you again for this generous gift.

 


Evan Gilreath

Parent(s):  Mike & Kristi Gilreath
Plans after high school:  Attend McKendre University to play football and study Criminal Justice. I will work during the summer.
Long-term career goals:  IFinish with my Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and begin my career either with the State Police or a local police department in order to work my way up to the U.S. Marshall agency.
Expression of thanks:  I would like to genuinely offer my thanks and gratitude towards the Tiger Pride Alumni Association for providing me this scholarship. This money will greatly benefit me in the way of financing my college expenses and allow me to graduate with little to no debt.

 


Davian Grimes

Plans after high school:  I plan to attend Missouri S&T majoring in Aerospace Engineering.
Long-term career goals:  Hopefully to work at Space X or Boeing. I want a job with a favorable salary and the ability to make a difference.
Expression of thanks:  I want to express my sincere gratitude for awarding me the TPAA scholarship. This scholarship will make a significant difference in my academic journey by allowing to focus on my studies. Thank you!

Plans after high school:  I plan to attend a four year university competing in Track & Field and obtaining a degree in Exercise Science.
Long-term career goals:  Obtain my Doctorate in Physical Therapy and become a travel Physical Therapist.
Expression of thanks:  Thank you for choosing me as a recipient of this scholarship. The money is greatly appreciated and will help towards achieving my goals.

 


Kalli Hancock

Parent(s):  Curtis & Lindsay Hancock
Plans after high school:  I plan to attend OCC to obtain my RN in Nursing. I have already completed most of my general studies so I will only be attending OCC for the two year Nursing program starting this Fall.
Long-term career goals:  I plan to become a Nurse Practioner and open my own clinic. I would like to specialize in something, but I'm not sure what that will be yet.

Ashley Hill

Plans after high school:  My plans after high school include attending OCC to obtain my Associates degree in Nursing. I have not yet decided whether I want to get my Bachelor's degree or not.
Long-term career goals:  After I obtain my Associates degree in Nursing, I want to work in the ER or as a labor & delivery nurse. I plan to start working at Carle Richland memorial Hospital and then later transfer to a larger hospital.
Expression of thanks:  I am honored to have been selected as a recipient of the TPAA scholarship. Thank you for your generosity which will be used to help cover the costs of Nursing school. As I continue my education at OCC, I am very thankful for receiving this scholarship. Thank you again for providing financial assistance!

 


Carly Houchin

Plans after high school:  I plan to attend Franklin College in the Fall to obtain my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education as well as continuing my swimming career.
Long-term career goals:  My long-term career goal is to becom an elementary school teacher and to be a swim coach.

Long-term career goals:  Get a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Plans after high school:  After high school, I plan to attend Greenville University in the Fall to pursue a degree in Secondary Education, English. After college, I aspire to be a high school English teacher.
Long-term career goals:  I would love to be an English teacher at a high school close to Olney. With enough expierence, I would love to be part of the administration.

Plans after high school:  I plan to attend Olney Central College and obtain my Assoicate's degree in Science then transfer to a four year university and enter a Pre-Dental program.
Long-term career goals:  I plan to obtain my D.M.D. and either co-own a practice with my cousing or open my own practice.

Audry Runyon

Plans after high school:  I plan to attend Wabash Valley College for two years, then transfer to a four year university. During my years at Wabash, I will be playing soccer for them; however, I do not know if I will pursue soccer further. I also plan to pursue a degree in the medical field.
Long-term career goals:  After I complete my four years and get my degree, my hope is to become a surgical technician for a medical facility close to Olney.
Expression of thanks:  I want to thank the Tiger Pride Alumni for considering me for this scholarship. I am so grateful that I was one of the 25 students that received this award. Thank you for all of the hard work you put in trying to raise money for students. I know each and every recipient is so grateful. This scholarship will be going towards my housing and books.

Liam Ryden

Plans after high school:  I'm going to OCC for two years nd then I plan to transfer to UIUC. I'm going to major in Pre-med and minor in History.
Long-term career goals:  I want to be a physician, probably a neurologist.
Expression of thanks:  I would like to thank everyone in the TPAA. The money I have been gifted will get me one step closer to going to school debt-free and achieving my dreams.

Plans after high school:  I plan to attend OCC to get my Associates degree and then transfer to a university to pursue a degree and career in Elementary Education. I am wanting to teach 1st or 2nd grade after college.
Long-term career goals:  I plan to become an elementary school teacher. I am hoping to teach 1st or 2nd grade.
Expression of thanks:  Thank you for your scholarship. I greatly appreciate it. I will use the money to help pay for my books and any other necessities for college. Once again, thank you so much!

 


Mackenzie Thomas

Plans after high school:  I plan to attend the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville during the Fall to continue my athletic and academic journey.
Long-term career goals:  My career goal is to finish PT school and continue in Pediatrics.

Katelynn Totten

Plans after high school:  I plan to attend OCC and I am currently enrolled in the Radiology program. I hope to graduate in 2027 and being working.
Long-term career goals:  I plan to start working as an X-ray Tech after graduating. I also plan to go back to school to be educated in other modalities to become a more desirable employee. My ultimate dream would then find a place in education to help other students pursue this degree. Lastly, if I'm lucky enough I'd love to retire and open a flower or book store.
Expression of thanks:  I can't thank you enough for selecting me as one of the winners. This money will be so helpful to me. During this program I will be limited to how much free time I will have to work. This scholarship will be used to pay for my whole summer 2025 semester. I will forever be grateful to the Tiger Pride Alumni Association. Once a Tiger, always a Tiger. Thank you so much!

 


Christian Weber

Plans after high school:  I plan to attend Eastern Illinois University and live on campus. My major will be History Eucation and I will try to join EIU's soccer team.
Long-term career goals:  After graduating from EIU, I will come back to Olney and try to get a job within the Richland County School system. I plan on also becoming the soccer coach of a high school team.
Expression of thanks:  I would like to thank the Tiger Pride Alumni Association for the opportunties they have given me through this scholarship. My college experience at Eastern Illinois University will be greatly improved through this scholarship. I would like to express my appreciation for your generosity in choosing me to receive this scholarship.

Aidan Weidner

Plans after high school:  I plan to attend Mariam University to play tennis and study Orthodontics.
Long-term career goals:  A couple long term goals of mine are to have finished dental school, starte my own practice near Olney, and help many patients.
Expression of thanks:  I am very grateful for this scholarship. It means a lot to me to be selected. This money will be very helpful for the many eyars of school I have ahead of me.
