TAC Scholarship Recipient Madison Weems, Director Judy Walker

and Kellis Bettis Weems

By all accounts the ERHS Honors program, this last Tuesday evening was a smashing success with over $120,000 in scholarships handed out during the evening.  Tiger Alumni Center Dirctor Judy Walker  presented the ten scholarships to our recipients, one of them to Madison Weems, daughtor of Kellis Bettis Weems, past student of Director Judy Walker.

Student’s Name:    Bridget Brian

 

Parent’s Name:      Kevin & Patty Brian

Plans after high school:   Attend Olney Central College to complete my Associate’s Degree and then transfer to a 4-year university. 

Long-term career goals:    Pursue a career in forensic science or medical research.

Other information:     Bridget has been an active member of the ERHS Book Club, serving as president.  Bridget has also been a member of the track team, scholar bowl, History Club, and Student Council.

Parent’s Name:    Paul & Tammy Clodfelter

Plans after high school:    Attend Olney Central College and then transfer to a 4-year university.

Long-term career goals:     Long-term plans are still undecided, but I will probably pursue some type of career in an animal-related field.

Other information:    Aimee has been a member of FFA, Spanish Club, Color Guard, and Jobs for Illinois Graduates.

Student’s Name:   Destini Coan

 

Parent’s Name:  Gregory Coan & Gina Gantenbein

Plans after high school:    Go to Olney Central College for one year and then transfer to a 4-year university to complete my bachelor’s degree.

Long-term career goals:   Long-term plans are still undecided.

Other Information:    While in high school, Destini has been a member of the Pep Club, Spanish Club, and Construction Club. Destini also served as a peer tutor for other high school students.

Student’s Name:  Lauren Dillard           

 

 

Parent’s Name:  Douglas & Jennifer Dillard

Plans after high school:    Attend the University of Kentucky and study psychology/pre-medicine.

Long-term career goals:    Attend medical school and work in the psychiatric unit of a hospital doing research on behavioral addictions.

Other Information:    Lauren has been an active member of ERHS music program playing in the marching band, jazz band, pep band, and concert band throughout high school. She has also been a member of the student council and served as president of the freshmen and sophomore class.

Parent’s Name:    Kim Harmon

Plans after high school:   Attend Vincennes University and study robotics.

Long-term career goals:    Be an entrepreneur in the field of robotics

Other Information:    Wes has been a member of the ERHS Student Council and served as president of the Junior Class. He has also been a member of the History Club, Prom Committee, and Jobs for Illinois Graduates.

Student’s Name:   Nicholas Eckel

 

Parent’s Name:     Larry & Debra Eckel

Plans after high school:   Attend the University of Illinois.

Long-term career goals:   Pursue a career in advertising and eventually become a creative director.

Other Information:    While in high school, Nick has been a member of the ERHS Scholar Bowl team.

Student’s Name:  Reiley Ferrell-Stout

 

Parent’s Name:    Bruce & Kimberly Stout

Plans after high school:   Attend Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri and study music education.

Long-term career goals:    Be a band and/or choir director at the high school level.

Other Information:    Reiley has been a member of the band and choral groups at ERHS for all four years of high school. She has also been a member of the Spanish Club and Book Club.

Student’s Name:   Jacob Reed

Parent’s Name:   John Reed & Teresa Baker

Plans after high school:  Attend Olney Central College and then transfer to a 4-year university.

Long-term career goals:   Pursue a degree in game design.

Parent’s Name:  James Thomas & Linette Westall

Plans after high school:   Attend Olney Central College and complete my Associate’s Degree and then transfer to Southern Illinois University @ Edwardsville.

Long-term career goals:  Become a doctor and specialize in cardiology.

Other Information:    During high school, Hannah has been a member of the Spanish Club, serving as president, and a member of the Interact Club, serving as vice-president. She has also been a peer tutor and a member of the Knitting Club.

Other Information:    While attending ERHS, Madison has been a member of the Lady Tiger’s Basketball and Softball teams. She has also been involved in Spanish Club, Pep Club, and Interact Club.
