James Edward Allison, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Baptist Health.

He was editor for the Courier-Journal for 20 years, also, editor for the Tribune in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and The Daily News in St. Thomas, Virgin Island.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Jean (Wiser) Allison of Louisville; step-children, Fredrick Klotz IV and Michael Klotz of Taylorsville, KY; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
