Michael Rumsey

After investing twenty-five years in faith-based ministry to teens, I transitioned into administration of faith-based organizations. I missed the kids and became weary of work that I felt I could do in my sleep. Soooo, I spent a year soul-searching and re-creating my credentials to teach in a public school classroom. Recently, I finished a Master's in Education Administration. I am now the Principal at Okawville Jr/Sr High School.

I remember being delegated to coordinate the building of the homecoming bonfire my senior year. We were shocked to discover that someone snuck in and set it off a night too soon. My classmates rallied to wrangle up enough combustibles to pull off another blaze the next night.
