Edward S. Weiler, 83, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, IL. Ed was born on May 11, 1939 in Claremont, IL the son of Ves and Coletta (Kocher) Weiler. He married Camille Faller on April 4, 1964 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Newton, IL, and she survives.

Ed was a lifelong resident of Claremont, IL and was a grain and livestock farmer. He sold Federal Crop Insurance for 40 years. Ed was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney, and he served on the Church Finance Council for many years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and was on the board of the First National Bank in Olney,

Edward is survived by his wife, Camille; children Steven Weiler and fiancée Amanda Clark of Claremont, Kenneth Weiler and wife Lisa of Claremont, Patrick Weiler and wife Melissa of Lee’s Summit, MO; grandchildren, Bryce, Kenzie, Kyrstin, Kelysse, Noah, and Leah Weiler, and Kierstin and Landon Clark; brother, Frank Weiler; sisters, Joan Weiler of Waterloo, IL and Elizabeth Ann Weiler of Springfield, MO, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Fred Weiler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held for Ed at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 16, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney, with a visitation from 9:00 AM-10:00 AM at the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney, IL.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Cemetery Fund or St. Joseph School Foundation Trust.
