I was saddened by Bob's passing.  Talked to him for a while on my last visit to Olney.  Truly good and humble man.  I also recall that he was a pretty good sticker as well as being a good first baseman on numerous teams around Olney.  My sincere condolences to the family.  He made Olney a better place to live.

I first met Bob in Mrs. Riffle's first grade class at Dundas School in 1954.  Steve Franklin, Bob, and I were inseperable....although it was usually one against the other two.  I lived west of Dundas and close enough to Bob's house that I could ride my bike to his house on Saturdays.  He was a good left-handed pitcher in Little League and Babe Ruth baseball.  I, like Bud, had the chance to talk with him at some of our recent reunions and he remained a warm, humble man.  Some of my best childhood memeories are gone with Bob!

To To Jim, Bud, Robert and Michael,

I want to take a minute to thank the four of you for posting such warm memories of Bob. Our time in school was a time of innocents with baseball and bikes, swimming at the Olney pool, first days of a new school year, and bantering between school buddies, just to name a few of the wonderful memories we have the good fortune to have. It warmed my heart that the four of you would take time to post your comments about Bob for all of us to remember our lives as children in Olney.

With the current pain of what happened in Florida and the death of 17 students and teachers, I pray that our grandchildren and great grandchildren will be able to experience such wonderful innocent memories of their school years. I believe it will take all Americans regardless of your political or religious views, to come together and find solutions that are right for our Country.  Enough of the division.

Thank you again for sharing,

To Bob's family and those who surrounded him with love, my deepest condolences to all of you. May you Rest In Peace Mr. Hubble.

Sheila (Hagen) Muehling
