School Story:

The novels contain many true stories (and some stretched into fiction) about Olney. Never embarrassing anyone but you might recognize someone or somewhere -- although not by name.

Many books found at
http://MachBooks.Com
http://Amazon.com/Will-David-Mitchell/e/B001HOPNU0
(Sorry, that is a long Amazon's code.)
By the way, I give Olneyites free copies on request. Call, email or drop by one of the websites.

Military - Where stationed, duties, awards, medals. etc:

Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal six times, Vietnam. 103 combat missions in B-66. Then 63 more in KC-135Q. Meritorious Service Medal at SAC HQ. Stationed at Mather, Beale, Shaw, Takhli (Thailand), Kadena Okinawa, Eielson, retired at Offutt.

Items remaining in your bucket list:

Another guy's aerial mistake cost me my astronaut career. So, as a civilian, when I'm about 93-95, technology will be good enough that I can buy a ticket around the world cheap enough. I'll orbit the earth, still in excellent health.
(Still planned)

Add Mandarin language.
(Working on it)

Doctorate in Business. Dissertation already written: "Monetizing Altruism"
(Might go into naturopathic medicine instead.)

Events/Factors leading to current home location:

Oh, you'd love this tale of how we got to San Diego, California to live in a wonderful home in the middle of the best weather on earth. Really!

It's through an utterly astounding chain of impossible events. It's worth a book in itself. Come to think of it, I might write it in early 2019.

Call us at home: 858-538-2911, or write us at 13017 Trail Dust Ave., San Diego, CA 92129.

Love to hear from you!

I tried sending you a birthday greeting a couple weeks ago or more, then a week later, but everytime it gives me some kind of error message. Maybe this will work. Being an avid reader, I looked up your books and want your suggestion for the one to start with. So belated happy birthday. Hope the evening out was a delight. Judy J

Hi Judy, you're correct. We all lost a good friend.

Barbara was a gracious lady and a great friend. I never heard her utter an ill word to or about anyone.

She had a towering intellect.  A superb clarinetist and pianist, she performed the very difficult Rhapsody In Blue playing both instruments with the ERHS band on several occasions.  Other times, she played piano and George Highsmith or Barbara Green played clarinet.

She won many medals performing at State Band Championships.  Her mother related to me one day, the difficulty of being a pianist at her level because all pianos have different actions and feels.  Barbara could rise above that challenge.

With Sue Jackson and Judy Petty, Barbara Meyers sang in an wonderful girls' trio, performing many of the hit songs of the day.

We, the world, have lost an angel and Heaven gained a glorious soul.
