I tried sending you a birthday greeting a couple weeks ago or more, then a week later, but everytime it gives me some kind of error message. Maybe this will work. Being an avid reader, I looked up your books and want your suggestion for the one to start with. So belated happy birthday. Hope the evening out was a delight. Judy J
Hi Judy, you're correct. We all lost a good friend.
Barbara was a gracious lady and a great friend. I never heard her utter an ill word to or about anyone.
She had a towering intellect. A superb clarinetist and pianist, she performed the very difficult Rhapsody In Blue playing both instruments with the ERHS band on several occasions. Other times, she played piano and George Highsmith or Barbara Green played clarinet.
She won many medals performing at State Band Championships. Her mother related to me one day, the difficulty of being a pianist at her level because all pianos have different actions and feels. Barbara could rise above that challenge.
With Sue Jackson and Judy Petty, Barbara Meyers sang in an wonderful girls' trio, performing many of the hit songs of the day.
We, the world, have lost an angel and Heaven gained a glorious soul.
