Blaise DeMuth (Speech Correction 1967)

Blaise DeMuth, 74, of Chatsworth, Illinois, passed away on Saturday April 7, 2018 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal. Funeral services at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chatsworth. Graveside services at West Lawn Memorial Park in Newton, IL.

Blaise was born on September 29, 1943 in Bloomington, IL a son of James A. and Patricia (Cassidy) DeMuth. He married Donna Mitchell on June 20, 1965 in Newton, IL, she survives.

Other survivors include three daughters: Lisa Satterfield of Washington, District of Columbia, Shira (Mike) Dobson of Longmont, CO and Bridget (Steve) Perkins of Alton, IL; nine grandchildren: Danielle, Alissa, Mitchell, Matthew, Garrett, Rhianna, Noah, Audrey and Sadie; one sister: Alana Reeves of Anna, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Blaise graduated from Mt. Pulaski High School and served as an educator in the Chatsworth, Prairie Central, Le Roy and later at Tri Point Schools. He taught speech correction at East Richland High School, Olney. Blaise enjoyed Cross Stitch and spending time with his family.

Oh! I remember him! My mom was a school nurse and I was a first or second grader who needed work on my R’s. Very nice man.

I taught with Blaise the two years I was a teacher in Chatsworth. Very nice man...
