Brent L. Budde, 64, of Olney, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Brent was born March 5, 1960 in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Loran and Beverly (McManaway) Budde. He married Della Rose on September 1, 1984 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney.

Brent was a Jack of all trades. He worked at UPS for 32 years, but the last 13 years also consisted of the small family run ballpark concession, Della’s Dugout. He was co-creator of Nitro Food Service with his wife of 40 years, Della. Brent loved fishing in East Fork Lake, but his true love was fishing the deep blue with his son and grandson during his travels with his family. He saw coast to coast and even crossed borders.

He full time RVed with his family for 4 years and work-camped at places in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and Washington State. Brent loved kayaking, hiking, and biking. He never knew a stranger and always had time to listen. He had a love for fixing up old cars, including his ’66 Chevy Nova and showing it at car shows with his parents, wife, and son or driving around with his grandkids.

Brent is survived by his wife, Della of Olney; parents, Loran and Beverly Budde of Olney; son, Trenton Lee (Nikki) Budde; spoiled rotten grandchildren that were loved more than anyone could ever know, Adelina Budde and Benett Budde; sister, Linda (Kent) Karcher of Sumner, IL, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and his beloved Gigi.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Dale Budde.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Brent at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Rotary Park (formerly Kiwanis Park) in Olney.
