Carolyn (Shive) Ostrander, 81, of Olney, passed away December 25, 2023 at Helia Healthcare of Olney. Carolyn was born on March 28, 1942 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Elmer Linder and Grace (Shive). She married Manfred "Fred" Ostrander on February 18, 1987 in Sierra Vista, Arizona, and he survives.

Carolyn enjoyed spending time with Fred traveling, camping and shopping for big items for Fred to somehow get home. A favorite past time is quilting, and she has numerous beautiful quilts on display throughout her home. Her pets were like her children, and she loved baking and cooking for her family. She spent her career as a lab technician and retired from RMH in Olney.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 37 years and daughter Donna Brown (Robin) of Olney, son Phillip Blackford (Kathleen) of Seymour, TN. daughters Grace Knowlton (Lawrence) of Olney, and Jennifer Stanley (Kish) of West Salem. Grandchildren Ashley Wyatt, Christina Zachary, Tasha Briggs, Bobby Brooks, Tausha Blackford, Stephanie Gillespie, Dalton Foerster, Russell Foerster and Payden Senecal and numerous great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jerry Shive and Harold Shive, son Jeffrey Blackford and grandson Dustin Brown.

Cremation Rites will be accorded.
