Martha A. (Richardson) Peavler, 70, of Olney, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Carle RMH in Olney, Illinois.  Martha was born August 20, 1952 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of George L. and Rosalyn A. (Nix) Richardson. She married Michael A. Peavler on July 6, 1968 in Olney, Illinois, and he survives.

Martha was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and received her entire education in Olney. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School, East Richland High School, and Olney Central College. She was also a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Martha worked with her dad, George, at Richardson Electric and then worked at both First National Bank and Trust Bank. She finished her career working alongside her husband and son at Peavler Trucking.

Martha made lasting friendships throughout her career and treasured the relationships she made at Trust Bank. Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was very proud of her family and greatly valued spending time with them. She married her high school sweetheart, Michael Peavler, on July 6, 1968. They recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

Martha is survived by her husband, Michael A. Peavler of Olney; son, Allen (Lona) Peavler of Olney; sisters, Mary Kell (Garry) Maris of Hobart, IN, Trish (Dave) Berry of Olney and Julia (Tony) Perrin of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Michael A. (Micah) Peavler III, and Blake A. (Jillian) Peavler; great grandchildren, Peyton, Joseph, and Lucas Peavler and one on the way, Collins Elizabeth Peavler; and all of her beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Elizabeth Peavler; and brother, Mike Richardson.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 31, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney.

Interment will follow the Mass at St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney.
