Mildred A. (Slunaker) Goldman, 78 of Berryville IL, passed away April 8, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes IN with her family by her side.

She was born March 22, 1938 in Berryville IL, the daughter of Edgar and Jenny (Higgins) Slunaker. She married Roy Goldman on June 22, 1955. They enjoyed 49 years of marriage until his passing in 2004.

Mildred lived most of her life in the Berryville area. She owned and operated the Berryville store and was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed raising registered polled Hereford cattle, riding and training horses and was also a master gardener. At the age of 33, Mildred was baptized in the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Dee Anna Breen of Mount Carmel; grandchildren, Heather and her husband Chris Willoughby of Vincennes, Jessica and her husband Matt Howder of Allendale, Whitney and her husband Ethan Clark of Flatrock, and James Breen of Allendale,; great-grandchildren, Gaven, Paige and Matthew Willoughby, Reann, Ashlyn, Phenix and Raiden Howder, and Sophia Breen; one sister, Mary Ellen Kaericher of Steger, IL.

In addition to her husband, Roy, Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ray, Roy, Harold and Bill Slunaker; and one great-granddaughter, Hadley Anna Willoughby.
