Martin Schonert - Class Of 1918

Martin F. Schonert, 66, of Vincennes, Indiana, a retired insurance executive, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 19, 1964 at 7:30 p.m. at his home.

A representative for Prudential Insurance Company some 30 years, Mr. Schonert was staff manager at his retirement in 1955.

He was born at Olney, Illinois on December 3, 1897 and was a son of the late Charles and Sibbie Ann (Gallagher) Schonert.

He was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church and was a life member of the Elks. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Hadi Shrine and Scottish Rite.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Mary D. (Yingling) Schonert; a brother, Homer of Olney; two sisters, Mrs. C.B. Wingert of Claremont and Mrs. Glen Roney of Gooding, Idaho.

The body is at the Gardner Funeral Home with services at the First Presbyterian Church. Masonic graveside rites conducted in the Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.
