Mrs. Edith Alice (Herrin) Jones, 78, of Olney, passed away at the Richland Memorial Hospital, February 26, 1969. She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist church. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones was born in Richland County on November 6, 1891, the daughter of the late John N. and Fannie K. (Whittington) Herrin. She married Ray H. Jones at Evansville, Indiana April, 16, 1917.

She is survived by her husband, Ray H., five sons, Jack G., Gerald B., Charles R., Fred C. and Kenny L. Jones, all of Olney and two daughters, Mildred M. Workman of Nome Alaska and Betty M. Farney of Hammond IN. There are also twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She is also survived by two brothers, Fred Herrin of Olney and Robert Herrin of Pomona, CA, and two sisters, Mrs. Florence Doan of Olney and Mrs. Viola McClain of Claremont, CA. She was preceded in death by two sons, James L. Jones who was a WWII fatality and Dale L. Jones.
