Pauline (Wharf) Wood, 83, of Olney, died Saturday morning, August 28, 1976 at Richland Memorial Hospital. Services were held in the Chapel of the Zirkle Funeral Home, with Pastor David McNabb officiating. Burial was in Haven Hill Cemetery.

She was born June 11, 1893, daughter of James Elliott and Adelia (Allison) Wharf. Her husband, Benny Wood, preceded her in death June 12, 1952.

Mrs. Wood was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Olney.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Jane Montgomery of Olney; three nieces, Mrs. Virginia Mac Gregor and Mrs. Allison Wharf, both of Olney, and Mrs. Patricia Nickel of Houston, Texas; two nephews, James Wharf of Sun City, Ariz., and James Montgomery of Charlotte, N.C.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmie Allen Rexroat, who died in 1936; two  brothers, Eugene and Allison J. Wharf; and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Kauffman and Mrs. Nana King.
