A former employee of the Lawrenceville Daily Record newspaper, Lela Marie (O’Donnell) Jones, died Tuesday morning, February 11, 1986 at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, Illinois.

Mrs. Jones, 87 of Lawrenceville was born June 25, 1898 in Olney, the daughter of John Alan and Eva V. (Bowlby) O’Donnell. She married William H. Jones and he preceded her in death in 1956.

She was a member of the Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a son, William Robert Jones of Wayzata, MN; a daughter, Dorothy Hennessy of Lawrenceville; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services at Emmons-Macey Funeral Home with burial in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
