Herbert E. Gray, 76, of 806 N. Boone St., Olney died Friday, March 24, 1978 in Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney. Mr. Gray was born in Decatur, Illinois July 30, 1901 son of Frank and Esther Gray. He married Hazel Chaney in 1922 and she survives.

He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Olney.

Surviving are his wife, Hazel; son, Donald E. Gray of Pratt, KS; daughter, Mrs. Catherine Foss of Olney; half-sister, Mrs. Inez Hines of Long Beach, CA, Mrs. Ethel Taylor of Jacksonville; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

One son and two brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services in Zirkle Funeral Home, Olney with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
