Ruth Bosart (Murray) Flocken died Saturday, October 2, 1971 at the age of 71 in Temple City, California, where she had been a resident for the past 8 years.

She was a pioneer social worker and former Executive Director of the Board of Children's Guardians of the City of St. Louis. A graduate of the University of Chicago, she held her Master's Degree in Social Work from St. Louis University.

Mrs. Flocken was born in Olney, Illinois April 26, 1900, the daughter of Ben S. and Grace E. (VanCleve) Murray. She married John Beck Flocken in Olney on February 28, 1921.

She is survived by her two children, Margaret (Mrs.Vincent Bartlett) of Fallbrook, California, and John M. Flocken of Anaheim, California; as well as her two sisters, Mrs. D. D. (Janet) McCarty of Fort Myers, Florida, and Mrs. Foster (Lillis) Schilt of Delray Beach, Florida.

Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo.
