Nell L. (Watkins) McCorkle, 82, of Olney, died Wednesday evening, September 16, 1981 at Burgin Nursing Manor. The body will be cremated. Zirkle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. McCorkle was born Sept. 16, 1899 in Olney, the daughter of Oliver B. and Lydia (Schilt) Watkins. She married Eulon McCorkle and he preceded her in death.

She was a Navy nurse in World War 1. In 1965, she moved to St. Petersburg, Fla. In June 1981, she returned to Olney and lived with a cousin, Mrs. Anna Poland.
