Paul Richardson - Class Of 1917

Paul Charles Richardson, age 70, a vice president of Boyden Association, Inc., an executive research firm of New York City, died of multiple skull fracture, Wednesday December 17, 1969 after he slipped and fell on ice in Darien, Connecticut.

Memorial services were held at Norton Presbyterian Church, December 20.

Mr. Richardson was active and participating in many Darien community activities.

Paul Richardson was born in Olney, Illinois on October 13, 1899 and spent his early childhood in Olney. He graduated from the Olney High School and later graduated from the University of Nebraska.

He was the son of T. Edward and Hulda F. (Strathman) Richardson. Paul’s father operated the Olney Democrat, a weekly newspaper in Olney more than 50 years.

Paul is survived by his wife, Josephine (Patterson) Richardson; son, Paul C. Richardson and daughter, Patricia Tison.

He is also survived by three sisters and one brother. His sister, Miss Martha Richardson, formerly a teacher in the Olney schools, Miss Mary Chapman of Mahwah, New Jersey, Mrs. Ivan Jennings of Arlington, Va. and one brother, Edward Richardson, publisher of the Richardson Publications of Carpenterville, Illinois.

Paul Richardson will be remembered by many of the older citizens of Olney.
