Charles Alton Webster, 70, of Mattoon, Illinois died Wednesday, June 8, 1966 in the Carle Clinic, Urbana, where he had been a patient one week. Funeral services in the Schilling Funeral Home. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, Olney.

Mr. Webster was born March 30, 1896 in McMinnville, Tennessee, son of Joe and Pearl (Hennesee) Webster. He married Edna Mae Darting in 1922 in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was a pharmacist at Memorial Hospital for 10 years.

Surviving are his widow, Edna Mae; a step-daughter, Mrs. Jackson (Vivian) Landenberger of Hingman, Mass.; two step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

He was a World War I U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Faith Baptist Church.
