Thomas Arthur Rogers - Class Of 1907

The body of Thomas Arthur Rogers, 57 of Stevens Point, Wisconsin will arrive in Bloomington, Illinois Thursday for services and burial. It will be taken to the Beck Memorial home where the funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Loyal M. Thompson will officiate.

Mr. Rogers died March 3, 1944 at Rochester, Minnesota where he was to undergo examination in the Mayo Clinic. The body was taken to a mausoleum at Stevens Point pending plans for burial here.

He was head of the chemistry department of Central State Teacher’s College at Stevens Point at the time of his death.

Mr. Rogers was born near Bloomington, Illinois January 1, 1887 son of Reverend P. R. Rogers and Tillie M. (Bomgardner) Rogers. He married Edith Hoysradt in 1910. He was a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University.

Thomas Rogers is survived by his wife, Edith Rogers; his mother, Mrs. Tillie Rogers of California; three brothers and one sister.
