Reuben Bateman - Class Of 1907

Reuben Othello Bateman, 79, life-long resident of Richland County and former Noble Township native of many years, died this morning, March 29, 1966 at Richland Memorial Hospital. He had been in ill health for several months.

Mr. Bateman was born on October 11, 1886, north of Noble, son of Samuel G. and Mary (Trowbridge) Bateman. he was a faithful member of the Freedom Baptist Church, north of Noble, since he was eight years old, and was a veteran of World War I.

His survivors include two brothers, Samuel L. Bateman and C. Edward Bateman both of Olney, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters.

Funeral services will be held at the Freedom Baptist Church with Brother Clyde Sinclair and Brother Arthur W. Phillips officiating.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.
