Mrs. Lura Emma (Marriott) Holliday, of Springfield, Illinois, died March 27, 1940 at Springfield hospital, following an illness of several months. She was 51 years old.

She was born May 7, 1888 in Browns, Illinois daughter of Thomas W. and Nora (Malone) Marriott. She was the wife of Arthur R. Holliday. He survives.

A resident of Springfield for eighteen years, Mrs. Holliday was a member of the Douglas Avenue Methodist church.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Thelma Jean, at home; Mrs. Dorothy M. Adams, city; two sisters, Mrs. Howard J. Chism and Mrs. Porter L. Chism, both of Saginaw, Mich.

Services held at the Ellinger & Kunz funeral home with Rev. J. Fred Melvin officiating.
Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park, Springfield.
