Mrs. May (Shake) McWilliams, 72, died at her home southeast of Le Roy, Illinois on Monday, December 28, 1959. She had been ill six months. May Shake was born May 7, 1887 at Olney, a daughter of William C. and Laura J. Shake. She was married to Cecil McWilliams in 1909 at Olney.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Bryce of Deer Creek and Joy of Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Petty of Indianapolis, Ind. and Mrs. Lloyd Redenbough of Urbana; a sister, Mrs. Edwin Wilson of Olney; eight grandchildren; a step grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Olney Baptist Church and had lived the last 25 years in the Le Roy area.

Her funeral was held at the Stensel Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harry Evans officiating. She was taken to Olney, IL for burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
