Funeral services were held in Olney yesterday for William Henry Schmalhausen, 49, long a prominent resident of that city and a cousin of S.A. Mayne, Dr. W.B. Baird, Ben F. Freeman and Hugo Mayne of Mount Carmel. He passed away Wednesday, July 10, 1935.

Among those attending from here, were Dr. and Mrs. Baird and his mother, Mr. and Mrs. Mayne, Mrs. George Skelton, Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Freeman and son, Junior and Mrs. Emma Freeman.

Mr. Schmalhausen was born in Olney, Illnois,  June 5, 1885 son of William S. and Mary Catherine (Mayne) Schmalhausen.

Mr. Schmalhausen is survived by his wife, Beulah (Marshall) Schmalhausen and two sisters, Kate L. Schmalhausen and Ella Schmalhausen.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Sarah E. Schmalhausen, Villa A. Schmalhausen and Winifred Randle.

Burial was in Haven Hill Cemetery, Olney.
