Eugene Edward Crout, 92, of Portland, Oregon died April 9, 1979. He was born October 12, 1886 in Olney, Illinois the son of Norman L. and Elizabeth M. (Shaw) Crout.

He was the husband of Grace Crout, Portland; father of John S. Crout, Columbus, OH, and Mrs. Mildred Cole, Portland.  Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

Mr. Crout was a Master Mason 1922 of Friendship Lodge No. 160, A.F. & A.M., Portland.

He had been employed by Willamette Iron & Steel in Portland.
