Norman O. Gher, 77, of Olney, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.

Norman was born on March 12, 1941 in Chicago, IL, the son of Harry K. and Agnes C. (Christiansen) Gher.  He married Leona House on December 19, 1965 and she survives.

Norman was an avid bass fisherman who loved to spend time fishing. He was also a very dependable and gracious friend who will be missed by those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Leona, Olney; son, Christopher and wife, Kimberly, Apple Valley, MN; mother-in-law, June House, Allendale, IL; sisters-in-law, Joyce Storkman, Kay Hershey, and Connie Simmons; brother-in-law, Bob House; and nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Although he had no siblings, he found brothers in his best friends, Mike Kowalis and Dan Zuber.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
