Zeta K. Hatch, 55, Olney, died Thursday, July 5, 1990 at Richland Memorial Hospital. Graveside service at Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, with the Rev. David McNabb officiating. Memorials can be made to the Zeta Hatch Memorial Scholarship Fund for Creative Writing at East Richland Middle School.

She was born in Oblong June 20, 1935, the daughter of O. R. and Louise (Henry) Newbold.

She was a school teacher of language arts at East Richland Middle School. She was a member of the National Education Association and the Illinois Education Association.

Surviving are one son, William Thomas Hatch III, St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters, Audrey A. Hatch, Chicago, Valerie L. Beabout, Indianapolis, Ind., and son-in-law, Ken Beabout Indianapolis, Ind.; her mother; and two grandchildren, Britt and Carly Beabout.

She was preceded in death by her father.
