William Glen Eikleberry, 72, of Wapella, Illinois died Monday, January 15, 1979 in Springfield Memorial Medical Center. Funeral services in Hosselton Funeral Home, Cisne, Ill. with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Cisne.

He was born in 1906 in Geff, Illinois son of Albert and Ella Eikleberry. He was a member of Wapella Christian Church and was a retired teacher. He was a graduate of Illinois College, Jacksonville and had a Master’s degree in education from the University of Illinois. He taught in Wayne County and in Richland County, teaching 8^th grade at Parkersburg Grade School from 1954-1955.

He went into athletic coaching and administration. He retired after 40 years in Berry Community High School as Superintendent. He was past president of the DeWitt County Administrator’s Association and the Retired Teacher’s Association of DeWitt and Logan Counties. He married Avis Dunahee in 1930.

Surviving are his wife; son, Maurice A. of Wheaton; daughter, Mrs. Jean Clem of Springfield; eight grandchildren.

One sister preceded him in death.
