Ruth F. Shann, 66, Rt. 1, Noble, died Sunday, December 13, 1981 in the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville. Services in the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. LeRoy Pittman presiding. Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Shann was born Dec. 9, 1915 in Richland County, the daughter of Otis and Ethel (Holtz) Crosby. She married Raymond Shann June 1, 1940 and he survives.

She was a school teacher in Richland County for many years, having taught 4th grade at Central School; and was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church.

Other survivors include a brother and sister-in-law Henry and Mary Crosby, Decatur; sister-in-law, Mrs.Minnie Frost, Olney; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Crosby, Olney; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
