Raymond Courtright - Class Of 1912

John Raymond Courtright, 81, of Flora, Illinois died Friday, April 5, 1974 in Clay County Hospital, Flora. Funeral services in Cardascio Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora.

Mr. Courtright was born May 6, 1892 in Richland County, son of James A. and Anabel (Moore) Courtright. He married Pearl Harris August 25, 1914 in Springfield.

He was a retired railroad conductor for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Co.

He was a member of the Brotherhood of Retired Trainmen, member of the Flora United Methodist Church, Flora Lodge 204 A.F. & A.M. and the Scottish Rite of Belleville.

Surviving are his wife, Anabel; son, John of Manassas, Va.; daughters, Mrs. Jules (Mary Elizabeth) Yurashus of Yorba Linda, Calif. and Mrs. Donald (Janice) Bute of Flora; brother, Samuel of Olney; sisters, Lillie Courtright and Gwendolyn Courtright both of Danville; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
