Rosemary Louise (Harris) Best, 51 of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Monday June 12, 2006. She was born on December 22, 1954 in Fairfield, Illinois, daughter of Robert Harris and Neva Koontz.  She was the beloved wife of 34 years of Mark Best of Sumner, Illinois.

She attended East Richland Junior High School and High School in Olney while living with foster parents, Wendell and Carolyn Ely.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her father Robert Harris of Doniphan, MO.

She is survived by her husband Mark, three sons: Mark of Vidor, TX, Jason of Powder Springs, GA, Scott of Orangefield, TX, and one daughter: Sheryl Mizell of Vidor, TX, and her mother: Neva Koontz of Fairfield, Ill, her foster parents Wendell and Carolyn Ely of Olney, Ill, four brothers: Jimmy Harris of El Jebel, CO, David Harris of Sims, Ill, Floyd and Howard Harris both of Fairfield, Ill, one sister: Robin Denton of Woodridge, Ill.

Her life was extraordinary and she was loved by all. She was a loving wife, mother and a most wonderful daughter. Her time here was too short, she will be sadly missed.

Funeral services held at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
