Victor A. Bowlby, 79, of Mattoon, formerly of Decatur, passed away Friday evening, January 5, 2007 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital, Mattoon, IL.  Services at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Graveside service at Haven Hill Cemetery, Olney, IL.

Victor was born May 21, 1927, in Olney, IL, the son of George and Mina (Glace) Bowlby. He spent many years at Pershing Estates in Decatur, where he received excellent care and had many good friends.

Victor is survived by his sister Evelyn Coffey and brother Marshall D. (Bonnie) Bowlby, all of Decatur, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers George, Jr. and Robert, and sister Margaret Hazelrigg.
