Mrs. Betty Rae Long, 49, of Noble died Friday, October 18, 1974 in Carle Clinic Hospital, Urbana. Funeral services at Cardascio-Easley Funeral Home, Noble with burial in Crest Haven Cemetery, Claremont.

Mrs. Long was born June 6, 1925 in Richland County, a daughter of Mervin and Essie (Bowen) Heindselman.  She married William Eldon Long and he preceded her in death in 1970.

Surviving are her mother, Essie Heindselman of Olney; a son, Terry of Noble; a daughter, Mrs. Rodney (Tonya) Mitchell of Noble; three brothers, Larry Heindselman of Decatur, Jack Heindselman and Glen Heindselman, both of Olney; four sisters, Mrs. Cecil (Marjorie) Neff, Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Dungey, Mrs. Jerry (Beulah) Black, and Mrs. Don (Donna) Kauble, all of Olney; and three grandchildren.
