Alice Brooks, 77, of Olney, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Burgin Manor in Olney.  Alice was born April 26, 1938 in Wynoose, Illinois the daughter of John Everett and Inez (McKinney) Burgin. She married Robert Brooks on July 17, 1987.

Alice had worked as an activity director at Burgin Manor and later she was the Aspire Program director and involved with the Golden Friendship Club. She had worked around senior citizens since she was young after her parents established Burgin Manor, she really loved helping and putting smiles on peoples faces. Alice entertained the residents with her music and singing. Alice took pleasure in her flowers and gardening. She enjoyed fishing with Bob on Borah Lake. In the evenings Bob and her would be found on the couch with their dog Sheba watching TV. Alice loved time with her family and she will be sorely missed by many.

Alice is survived by Husband of 28 years, Robert Brooks of Olney; Son, Victor Colwell of Jewett, Texas; Son, Rodney Colwell of Olney; Daughter, Julia Foerster and husband Harold of Olney; Step-son, Robert Brooks Jr. of Olney; Step-son, Jeffrey Neil Brooks and wife Christie of Petersburg, Indiana; Step-daughter, Amanda Brooks and husband Greg of Jasper, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, Sister, Una (Raymond) Tarpley; Sister, Mary Burgin; Sister, Diana Burgin; Brother, Gary (Kay) Burgin; Sister-in-law, Sue Burgin; Several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Warren Burgin and Everett Burgin; Sister, Carol Brown.
