Bertha Alice Levering Harrell, 77, former resident of Olney, was fatally injured in a highway accident near Omaha, Illinois south of Carmi on Saturday afternoon, according to word received by friends in Olney.  She passed away April 15, 1968.

Mrs. Harrell was married to Joel M. “Jack” Harrell, who also formerly lived in Olney.  They retired to Omaha after years of service in all parts of the world.  Mr. Harrell was a tax expert and was a civil service employee of the U.S. Government.

Mrs. Harrell was a 1910 graduate of Olney High School and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Levering.  She was born November 23, 1890 in Olney, Illinois.

Among her survivors, in addition to her husband, are two brothers and two sisters.

The body is at a funeral home in Omaha and services will be held there Wednesday afternoon.  Burial in Palestine #1 Cemetery in Omaha.
