Roger Lee Zehner - Class Of 1968

Roger Lee Zehner, 67, of Claremont, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015, at his residence after a bout with lung cancer.

He was born February 27, 1948, in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Clarence "Pete" and Rosa Elizabeth (Foster) Zehner. He married Edna Mae Hayes on May 30, 1981, and she survives.

Roger worked as a semi-tractor-trailer driver until he became employed with Wal-Mart, where he worked for 16 years. He most recently worked for Richland Manufacturing in Olney. Roger was a Veteran of the United States Army with the rank of AUS CE Sp4. He was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War.

Roger was affiliated with the Methodist faith. His memberships included Lawrenceville VFW, Community Center in Claremont, National Rifle Association and Bassmasters.

Roger's parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Edna, of Claremont; two brothers, Randy Zehner (Judy), of Claremont and Rick Zehner (Richard Brewer), of Olney; and two sisters, Darlene Beaulieu (Duane), of Olney and Cathy Zuber (Joe), of Olney. Several nieces, nephews and a great-nephew also survive.

Funeral service at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.   Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
