Philip Schnautz - Class Of 1980

Philip Schnautz, 51 of Noble passed away at 02:30 PM on Sept 5, 2013 at Helia Healthcare in Olney

Philip was born December 11, 1961 in Olney, IL to parents Vance Shriner and Sue (Schnautz) Michels.

Philip attended East Richland Schools. During High School he worked at Marymac Pizza, Inc., OK Janitorial, & Happy Hour Services. In the 1980's he worked on several oil well drilling rigs and in the early 1990's he worked at Lubert Schnautz Lumber Company as head sawyer a gift he shared with his grandpa.

In 1995 he and Dave Redman bought a skidder and started logging as PDS Logging. He currently owns Schnautz Logging which originated in 2007 and continued logging until he got sick early this year.

He was generous with what he had and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Philip loved to watch Pro Football and loved charcoal grilling . He had a lot of friends and will be missed by all of us that loved him.

Philip is survived by Mother, Sue Michels; Grandmother, Erba Schnautz; Step-Brother, Gregory Michels; Step-Sister, Lori Barger, Cathy Yockey, and Julie Roberts; Uncles, Ray Schnautz, Larry Lee Schnautz, Paul Schnautz, and Mark Schnautz; and several cousins; Special neighbor, Betty Lamb; Longtime friend, Kirby Weber.

Preceded in Death by Grandfather, Lubert Schnautz, and cousin Gage French.
