Jane Milone (Kent) - Class Of 1920

Mrs. Jane E. (Milone) Kent, age 52, formerly of Claremont, Illinois died March 29, 1955 in the West, where she had spent the greater part of her life. She graduated from Olney High School in 1920, taught school three years in Richland County and graduated from college in Boseman, Montana.

Funeral and burial were held in Bremerton, Washington.

For a number of years she was a member of the Department of Public Instruction, State of Montana. She worked with the Red Cross in World War II, and then became a member of the office staff at the Ship Yard at Bremerton, Washington.

She married O.C. Kent in San Francisco eleven years ago. They lived in Bremerton until her death. She leaves no children.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are sisters, Mrs. Pearl Gearhart of Parkersburg and Miss Stella Milone of Olney; brothers, Ray Milone of Claremont, Walter Milone of Charleston and R.G. Milone of Olney.

She was the daughter of the late Stephen J. and Minnie (Heath) Milone of Claremont and a sister of the first Richland County soldier to lose his life in World War I.

Patricia R. Stewart (Clark) (1963)

I was glad to see this obituary of Jane Milone Kent posted as I am working on the Milone family tree. My mother was Dorothy Marie Milone Stewart and Jane was her aunt.
