Mrs. Jan (Von Almen) Ehleben, age 83 died on Monday, June 7, 2021, at her home in Rock Island, TN. She retired from teaching in 2001 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McMinnville. Jan was a kindergarten teacher for many years with the Warren County School system, was an active member of various roles in the Methodist Church: Maranatha Youth Group, a Sunday School teacher, Emmaus Walk leader, and Prayer Shawl Ministry; and participated in the Good Neighbor program.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph F., Sr. and Geneva Von Almen; husband, Douglas Ehleben; son, Mark Ehleben, and brother, Joseph F. Von Almen, Jr.

Jan is survived by her daughters, Alice (Grady) Parton and Laura (Frank) Avila; special nephew, Martin (Amy) Von Almen; niece, Laura (Denman) Frazer; daughter-in-law, Robyn Ehleben; grandchildren, Nathan McCormick, Douglas Parton, Jason (Ellen) Ehleben, and Joe (Rachel) Ehleben; 5 great-grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren and wonderful caregivers Rebecca Bivins, J.W. Bivins and Robin Rudicel.

Memorial services were conducted at the Outreach Building of First United Methodist Church in McMinnville, TN.
