Marcella Kay "Sally" Rigg, 68, of Decatur passed away at 8:30 A.M. April 9, 2006 in her residence. Memorial service at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery, Olney, IL.

Sally was born November 8, 1937 in Sumner, IL, the daughter of Herman D. and G. Marie (Judy) Lathrop. Sally graduated from Mid-Valley College of Law in Los Angeles having received her Juris Doctorate. She was retired from Hughes, Hill & Tenney Law Firm.

Surviving are her sisters: Virginia Sy and Paul Brady of Springfield, IL., Joanne Provines and her husband Dr. Richard Provines of Los Altos, CA. her aunt; Mary (Lathrop) Breen of Charleston, IL, her nieces; Lynette Hood and her husband Donald of Decatur, IL, and Julie Murphy and her husband Greg of Santa Rosa, CA, her nephews; Martin Sy and his wife Vicki of Mt. Zion, IL, Jeff Provines and his wife Nancy of Sacramento, CA. great-nieces; Kelli Kerr and her husband Doug, Kristi Rigg and her husband Todd, Erin Hood, Mandy Sy, Lindsey Provines, Camryn Provines, and Haley Murphy, great-nephews; T.J. Hood, Justin Sy and Crystal Strohl, Jeremy Sy, Kenney Provines, Jack Murphy, great-great-nieces; Brittany Kerr, Courtany Kerr and Abigail Sy. Special friends; Michelle Owczarcak, Melanie Ishmael and all her friends at Hughes, Hill & Tenney. Also surviving are her beloved pets Chloe and Charlie.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law Oliver Sy.

Sally, we will all miss your sweet smile, long talks, love of life and your appreciation of a glass of good wine. You will be Greatly missed by all your family and friends.
