Francis Wehrheim

Francis E. “Frank” "Shorty" Wehrheim, 84, of Olney, passed April 13, 2018 at St. Vincents Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Services at First Church of Christ, Olney with burial at Crest Haven Cemetery, Claremont.

Frank was born May 18, 1933 in Evansville, IL son of Elroy Valentine and Elba May (Billimack) Wehrheim. He married Mary Frances (Bateman) April 22, 1970 in Olney, IL.

Frank was a carpenter for Illini Builders for 30+ years. He was a US Army Veteran and a dedicated member of the American Legion Post 30 in Olney and an active member of the Honor Guard. Frank was an avid STL Cardinals fan and enjoyed the outdoors and always had a building project in the works. He was a faithful Christian and an active member of his church, First Church of Olney. Frank was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be sorely missed by all those hat knew him.

Frank is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Wehrheim of Olney; son, Dennis Lacoax of Columbia, TN; daughter, Deb Wehrheim-Nissen and husband Bill of Bloomington, IL; daughter, Teresa Wehrheim-Mack and husband Neal of Palm Harbor, FL; son, Steven Lacoax and wife Vicki of Spring Valley, IL: daughter, Karen Wehrheim-Seals and husband Eric of Noble, IL; son, Kevin Wehrheim and wife Heather of Villa Grove, IL; daughter, Mary Ann Wehrheim of Georgetown, KY; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald (Cathy) Wehrheim; sister, Geraldine Calvert; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kim Lacoax; infant daughters, Maurita and Melinda Wehrheim; and sister, Jennie Margaret Kohlberg
