Larry Ray Bower, 58, of Owensboro, Ky., formerly of Olney, died Wednesday, August 2, 2000, at Guadalupe  County Hospital in Owensboro, Ky.  Graveside services at St. Raphael Cemetery in Daviess County, Ky.

Mr. Bower was born December 8, 1941, in Olney, the son of Frank J. and Milfrieda Bower. His wife, Ann Bower, survives.

He was an independent truck driver, was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed sports and collecting baseball cards.

Mr. Bower is survived by his wife, Ann Bower, of Owensboro, Ky.; his mother, Milfrieda Bower, of Springfield; a daughter, Debbie Whitney, of Owensboro, Ky.; a son, Wayne Whitney, of Owensboro, Ky.; a brother, Robert Bower, of Evansville, Ind.; a sister, Mary Naqvi, of Springfield; three grandchildren, four nieces, and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.
