Monte Ray George, 55, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Olney, died at 10:39 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Funeral services at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms with Reverend Shawn Parks officiating. Burial in Union Grove Cemetery near Pittsburg.

Mr. George was born on July 13, 1948, in Olney, the son of Franklin Woodrow and Elva Florence (Densmore) George. He was a former chef and worked at flea markets as a salesperson.

Mr. George is survived by a daughter, Tracy George, of Olney; two grandchildren, of Olney; a brother, Larry George and his wife, Linne, of Newton; a sister, Linda Jean Rhoades and her husband, Jerry, of Decatur; a niece, Pamela Johnson, of Evansville, Ind.; an uncle, Gene Densmore, of Olney; and a niece and first cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three aunts, Cleo Russell, Elsie Russell and Beatrice Bauman, and an uncle Everett Densmore.
