Essie Clodfelter (Rishworth) - Class Of 1910

Mrs. Essie Gertrude (Clodfelter) Rishworth, 91, formerly of Bismarck, North Dakota, died Tuesday morning, June 5, 1973 in Billings, Montana where she had resided since 1970. Funeral service at Boelter Funeral Chapel here with burial in Fairview Cemetery.

A daughter of Milo N. and Lucy E. (Shoemaker) Clodfelter, she was born in Olney, Illinois on November 4, 1881. She grew up and received her education there, and later came to North Dakota with her parents. She homesteaded in the McClusky community at the turn of the century.

After she was married to Robert M. Rishworth in Carrington, on August 15, 1906, she resided in McClusky and Jamestown for many years prior to moving to Bismarck in 1933. While here, Mr. Rishworth was a member of the State Board of Administration and he was its executive secretary at the time of his death in 1948.

Mrs. Rishworth was a member of McCabe United Methodist Church and a past Matron and member of the Order of Eastern Star chapter in Bismarck.

She leaves one son, Harry of Lenexa, Kan; two daughters, Pauline Wahl, Bismarck and Essie Langemo, Billings; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Fredrick Brown, Valley City.
