Robert Seeley - Class Of 1909

Robert Harrison Seeley, age 86, of Madison, Indiana died Friday, May 2, 1975 at Clifty Convalescent Center in Madison. Mr. Seeley was born September 14, 1888 a son of William J. and Sarah (Adams) Seeley.

He was a native of Toledo, Illinois, a retired farmer and a member of the First Church of God here. (According to the 1910 Census records, Mr. Seeley and his family were residents of the Olney area during that time.)

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lula E. (Hobbs) Seeley; two daughters, Mrs. Gilbert Beach of Burbank, Calif and Mrs. Grace Martin of Madison; six sons, Gaylon Seeley of Anderson, Victor Wayne Seeley of Crossville, Ill, Roy Seeley of Hollywood, Fla, George Seeley of Lebanon, Ohio and Raymond and Ellis Seeley both of Columbus; 24 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ella White, Seattle, Wash.

Mr. Seeley was preceded in death by his first wife, Zoe A. Deppen who died in 1922.

Funeral services at Vail Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison.
