Paul Bucher Fritchey, age 88 of Alhambra, California passed away Wednesday, June 6, 1979. He was born in Olney on March 7, 1891 son of Theodore A. Sr. and Mary E. (Bucher) Fritchey. He married Elvera A. Russell in California in 1923.

Paul B. Fritchey, a long-time Alhambra resident and civic leader was the founder and past president of Palm Avenue Lumber Co. The company was first built in 1922 under the name of the J. & W.C. Shull Lumber Co. In 1927, Paul was employed by the firm as an outside salesman. In 1939 he bought the company.

He is survived by his wife, Elvera Fritchey and one son, Russell P. Fritchey.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Theodore A. Fritchey Jr.
